Students were to once again learn how to work with percents using a variety of methods. The students worked on a different worksheet regarding percentages for assessment.
This lesson was quite unsuccessful. I had not learned from mistakes made in the prior lesson and struggled with another direct instruction approach. However, because of the tough lesson I was starting to really learn about the challenges of teaching and why it was so important to build relationships with students. If I had more exposure to these students I would not have went down the rabbit hole of direct instruction once again.
