My name is David Brown, and I will be joining you and your students as part of my course of studies in the Middle Years Education program at the University of Regina. I am very honoured to be a part of your classroom, and I am extremely excited to learn from you and your students. I look forward to understanding more about the world of education and gaining insight into the methods used to educate youth.
I joined the Education program coming in as an after degree student. My first degree was in Business Administration, and I had prior careers in finance and information technology. My former careers provided me with a lot of wisdom to share, and I hope I can enhance your classroom with this knowledge. I am also fortunate to have coached Bantam hockey, and I have enjoyed building relationships with young people in this context. In the internship experience I hope to learn more about the challenges of classroom management, assessment, and in general how to live life of a teacher, both in school and out of school.
I look forward to learning side by side with your students as well as imparting some of my wisdom upon them. I’ve wanted to be a part of the world of teaching for a long time, and I am thrilled that I will get an opportunity to make a dream, or possibly many dreams, come true. Thank you for allowing me this learning opportunity, and I cannot wait to meet you and your students. I have shared my experiences and thoughts at http://blog.snowcappedsoft.com/wordpress if you would like to know more about me.
